Translated Immersive Labs Workforce Exercising, Crisis Sim, and Custom scenarios
Machine-translated Workforce Exercising and Crisis Sim content, custom scenarios, and the ability for customers to refine translations to ensure accuracy and to translate custom scenarios.
All Immersive labs Workforce and Crisis Sim scenarios now include translated versions for all of the languages supported by the platform (English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese). Customers can also translate custom scenarios. Any future Immersive Labs Workforce and Crisis Sim content that is created will be automatically translated in the background upon creation.
Attachment Descriptions
During a crisis sim/workforce exercise, users can now see a description of image attachments and a transcript for video/audio attachments in the ‘All attachments’ area. This serves as a tool for accessibility and as a way for users to get a translated description of the attachment if the attachment content is not in their native language.
Supported Languages
The following languages are currently supported by the Immersive Labs platform:
- English
- German
- Spanish
- Portuguese
- French
- Italian
- Japanese
To change the default scenario language (English) into one of the supported languages, click the Language (globe) icon and then select the desired language from the list of supported languages:
When you open a scenario, it appears in your selected/default language. The Language area on the scenario page indicates the selected language, but also - if you hover your mouse over the Information icon - you can see that the scenario is also available in the other supported languages.:
Once you have selected the new language, you will see a message box in the new language explaining limitations of the translated scenario (in this example, Spanish):
Once you start the scenario, note that the scenario content has been translated to the selected language (left pane), but that any injects that are contained within an image are not translated. However, you can click the Show Description button, which contains a translation of the text within the image:
